You cannot go to Vancouver and avoid the water. Living in land locked Alberta a visit to the ocean is always a treat. I can spend hours on a beach watching waves, birds and people. Add to this a bit of sunset colors and the whole outing is a success. One can always find something interesting to take a photo of, as well. Life is good! Here is a few images I took when we were exploring close to the ocean.
