For the last part of the boudoir session with Nicole I wanted to switch to my 90mm tilt-shift. The location we were shooting was a little too small for that lens, so we moved into the studio. It was a very good choice. Having more room, more lights and my tilt-shift, I could be a little more creative. Enjoy!
Edmonton boudoir in black and white
Having a session with Nicole is always fun. She loves being photographed, and it shows. The boudoir session we did, included several changes of lingerie, but it went along very smoothly. It was really great. Again, like previous post the whole session was shot with the Fuji X100. Because the Fuji X100 is so quiet, Nicole was asking me if I took the shot, while I already took 3 :). Old style boudoir
I always found boudoir photography very empowering to my clients. The whole idea is to make the woman feel strong, sexy, sensual, desirable... This is what I and my wife try to convey with our images. I find that boudoir photography with second photographer, give much better results in the end. My wife is wonderful at keeping the ladies entertained, relaxed, and smiling through out the session. This session with Nicole, and the ones in the next few posts, I was alone. Armed with one light, and a trusty Fuji X100. The session went great, and Nicole was very happy with the results. Enjoy!

Sexy in the Snow
I have shot Christmas boudoir with Jenna a last year and we wanted to take it one step further. She is a great model to work with and she looks great in Christmas lingerie. This time we wanted to do this outside, in the snow. Just for fun. Edmonton gets cold in the winter so the challenge was upon us. Turned out to be a great session... cold, but great. We traveled to Elk Island National Park, in the morning, knowing it's going to be deserted, and started shooting. Great big thanks to Jenna for rocking the shoot. It was awesome. Enjoy!

Quite a while ago, I had another great opportunity to photograph a very lovely mom. She said she was doing the boudoir photography as a gift, but I have a suspicion that it was also a wonderful ego boost. She allowed me to post a few images from this great session. I have to say though, that nothing can substitute the look on her face when she saw the finished images. I'm very glad I was able to capture these for her. Enjoy.

Denver - Harper Part 1
During the last day of my stay in Denver, I met up with Harper Wesley. She is also a local model, that agreed to a boudoir photo session. Since I did not have any other appointments that day, we shot a little longer than the first shoot with Kari. Harper was wonderful to work with, easy going and professional. She knew what she was doing, making my job so much easier. There are many images of Harper that I manage to capture, so this is going to be a 3 part series. Enjoy.

Mysteries in the key of W. Part 1
This past weekend ended with a huge surprise. My wife's friend decided that she wanted a quick boudoir session done for her husband's birthday. Luckily I had all my gear charged and ready to go.... quick call to another friend to watch the kiddies for a couple of hours and off we went.
It was first time my wife was assisting me, and I was amazed how well she got into the groove of things. She was really good at directing the shoot. Ended up with lots of lovely photos, that my wife's friend was really happy with. I even got permission to post a few here on the blog. Good thing is her husband and computers do not mix very well. Now the book is ordered and will hopefully be nice surprise for her man. Here is a selection from that session that I was permitted to post. Enjoy.
